Careless, yes, but with all the larger VAXen - I had been gawking at a drugged-out 11/750 - I had not noticed the much smaller specimen scurrying into my path. It sent the beep code (^G, ascii 007, btw) and scurried down another avenue. "Can you spare a few kilobytes, bub??" the 11/750 asked, noting the minor scuffle. "But of course," I said. I had not come here to gawk, but also to study, to heal, to help.
