While walking home today, I was carrying my ultra-swank Dream In Code lava lamp that I connived by writing some extra-nasty C program. Some of the local fellows passed me by and said something like, "Hello sir. I am impressed by the ultra-swank lava lamp you have acquired! May I suggest that you convert it into a device for concentrating the smoke of combustible intoxicants?" I informed him that no, I would prefer to leave my ultra-swank lava lamp intact. He then further queried me as to whether or not I was a "shroom-head". I responded in the negative, and was then asked just which mind-altering substances I happened to avail myself of. After a seconds pause for thought, I said that I primarily ingested caffiene. The group appeared taken aback. "But that is not a mind-altering substance!" I said that they must have been misinformed, at which point they conceded, but were specifically searching out information on whether I used illegal substances. Another affirmative reply was offered, with the caveat that I do not frequently abuse the substance, just when I recieve a significant amount of free time. They appeared satisfied with this answer, and we went our separate ways.
